Synopsis
Na de traumatische ervaringen van de oorlog in Irak heeft veteraan Cal zijn leven weer op de rails. Hij werkt nu als overdreven strikte ‘by-the-book’ politieagent. Wanneer hij hoort dat zijn broer Oyster betrokken is geweest bij een vechtpartij met dodelijke afloop is Cals reactie dat Oyster de consequenties van z’n daden zelf onder ogen moet zien. Maar Oyster krijgt geen eerlijk proces en dreigt levenslang achter de tralies te verdwijnen. Achterkamertjespolitiek, intern gekonkel en corruptie zorgen dat Cal door het lint gaat. Hij zet alles op alles om zijn broer vrij te krijgen en breekt daarbij ongeveer elke wet die hij zelf zou moeten handhaven…

Synopsis
After the traumatic experiences of the Iraq War, veteran Cal has his life back on track. He is a strict By-the-Book cop. When he hears his brother Oyster is involved in a bar brawl with fatal consequences, Cal’s initial reaction is that Oyster needs to bear the consequences of his own actions. But as it turns out Oyster has no chance of a fair trial. Dubious under-the-table politics and corruption make him into a scapegoat and he is sentenced to life imprisonment.
