Synopsis
Het jaar 2030. Grote delen van de VS zijn in een verdorde wildernis veranderd. Het Humanity Bureau beoordeelt met kille zakelijkheid of burgers voldoende waarde hebben voor de samenleving. Wanneer men in hun ogen meer aan de samenleving onttrekt dan toevoegt wordt men verbannen naar Eden. Een kolonie waar men onder goede omstandigheden een nieuw bestaan kan opbouwen. Noah is een ambitieuze agent van het Humanity Bureau. Zijn werk is gevaarlijk, veel criminele of verwarde verdachten verzetten zich met grof geweld tegen hun verbanning. Door zijn keiharde afwikkeling van levensgevaarlijke zaken heeft Noah snel carrière gemaakt. Te snel naar de zin van sommige collega’s. Hij krijgt opdracht om een jonge moeder en haar zoontje te deporteren. Wat Noah niet weet is dat het een truc is van zijn rivalen om zijn loyaliteit in twijfel te trekken. Hij raakt hevig onder de indruk van hoe de aantrekkelijke Rachel en de jonge Lucas onder barre omstandigheden iets moois van hun leven maken. Hij besluit hen te helpen. Op zoek naar meer informatie stuit hij op een gruwelijk geheim van het bureau. Zijn voormalige baas en vriend Adam opent de jacht op Noah, Rachel en Lucas. Noah kent de gewelddadige werkwijze van het bureau als geen ander en weet hun aanvallen steeds af te slaan. Maar hij komt steeds verder in het nauw en moet al zijn kennis en gevechtservaring in de strijd gooien om zijn leven en dat van Rachel en Lucas te redden…
Synopsis
The year 2030. Large parts of the US have been changed in a dry, desolate wilderness. The Humanity Bureau determines with cold precision if citizens are of value to society. All those that, in the Bureau’s eyes, take more from society than they give are deported to Eden. A colony where people can build a new life under pleasant circumstances. Noah is an ambitious Bureau Agent. His job is dangerous, many criminal or disturbed suspects violently resist their deportation. His bold conclusion of many dangerous cases has moved him up fast in the Bureau’s ranks. Too fast according to some of his colleagues. He is given the order to deport a young mother and her little boy. Unbeknownst the him this is a trap by his rivals to raise doubt about his loyalty. Noah is very impressed with how the attractive Rachel and the young Lucas make something of their lives under extreme circumstances. He decides to help them. Investigating their case he discovers a gruesome secret within the Bureau. His former boss and friend, Adam, now opens the hunt for Noah, Rachel and Lucas. Noah knows the Bureau’s violent tactics inside and out and succeeds in countering their attacks time and again. But he sinks deeper into trouble and needs to use all of his knowledge and combat experience to save his life and that of Rachel and Lucas…
